Scott’s Run is a small town with a big history. This is a bench that I designed for the Scott’s Run Museum & Trail to commemorate the train that ran right down the center of the main street.
To begin, I created a design in Adobe Illustrator and from there, I used those computer-generated measurements to build the bench. After it was built, I painted it and began the process of getting the metal plates printed. The metal plates are the two blue pieces on the back part of the bench and on the seat. The ornaments on the blue-green part of the bench were done using a vinyl stencil and white spray paint.
Today, this bench can be seen sitting along the sidewalk in Osage.
